An Uber driver needs to have a primary automobile liability coverage of at least $1 million, bodily injury, and property damage if he is engaged in a prearranged ride.  He or she is also required to carry personal injury protection coverage worth at least $10,000, irrespective of the fact whether he is involved in a trip or not.
